mCDR wave tank testing

mCDRLUPA8 Testing of LUPA in the large wave flume (LWF) with electrolyzer. LUPA charges batteries that suupply power to the electrolyzer.

Duration: Spring 2026

Facility: LWF

Conditions tested: Regular and Random waves just charging capacitors and charging batteries

Goals:

• Demonstrate LUPA powering mCDR electrolyzer
  • Characterize and find max electrical power conditions for LUPA in the LWF
  • Damping sweep finding otpimal damping for electrical power charging capacitors
  • Testing of random wave electrical power generation for two Tp values finding max Hs condition
  • Test charging of the batteries with charge controller
